Snapshot

AGE RATING: 14+

TEEN RATING: 4.1/5

TEEN OVERVIEW: Despite being a short novel physically and a short story, Snapshot is by no accounts a novel to laugh at or pass over because as small and short as the book may seem it packs a punch only few authors are capable of delivering with such few words. Whatever Snapshot lacks in size, it makes up for it many times over in the quality and the lasting effect the story has on the reader. If ever there was a time to heed the warning, “Never judge a book by it’s cover,” it would be with Snapshot. Continue reading Snapshot

Mythos

TEEN RATING: 4/5

TEEN OVERVIEW: Fry manages to explore many of the intricate and fine inner workings of the Ancient Greek religion while also somehow simultaneously keeping it light and interesting creating, frankly, a surprising good read. Continue reading Mythos

Run Or Die

AGE RATING: 13+

TEEN RATING: 5/5

TEEN OVERVIEW: An absolutely breathtakingly imaginative journey. And a stark reminder to everyone of us, whether we have simply forgotten it, never knew it or have chosen to ignore it; of the potential power of our mindset over our actions, situations and our life on a whole. I would without a doubt recommend this book, to anyone interested in reading of any sort, whether you’re interested in sports or not, this book will, at the very least, change you’re fundamental outlook on life, whatever about what might happen if you really become absorbed in it… Continue reading Run Or Die

Department 19

AGE RATING: 13+

TEEN RATING: 3.5/5

TEEN OVERVIEW: Certainly an incredible amount of background work must have taken place to give the book such a realistic and tactile feel to it, while also integrating it into the history of the human race so soundly. Cementing the authenticity of Department 19 as almost, real. But, vampires don’t exist? Or do they? Altogether a great and slightly different read! Continue reading Department 19

Skyward

AGE RATING: 14+

TEEN RATING: 5.1/5

TEEN OVERVIEW: I literally don’t know how I will possible survive the months until October of 2019, when ‘Starsight’, the prequel to Skyward, is set to be released. I literally can’t wait. Absolutely sensational work from Sanderson, especially when in comparison with his previous novels. Sanderson consistently smashes any notion of a level for an incredible novel and sets the bar higher than previously even thought possible. Continue reading Skyward
