I am Number Four by Pittacus Lore.
Number Four was the fourth of nine. Nine aliens who fled to earth when their home planet was destroyed by a planet consuming race, who’s only motives include survival of their race regardless of the damage or destruction caused. Now Number Four is only one of six, the Mogadorians hunting them each and their individual mentors down, in the order of one to nine. This is because they each are bonded by a powerful charm, making them each practically invincible until their lesser number is no more, meaning they don’t just run for their own lives but for that of the next in line. They don’t run aimlessly, one day they hope to return to their home planet and take back what is rightfully theirs. That is why in each remote town they settle in, they do not make friends, allies or enemy’s, nor do they use their real name, allow photos to be taken of them and most of all, become attached to anyone or anything, nothing that could slow them down and or allow them to be traced in any way. That’s why on his their first School day in Paradise Ohio, no one is more surprised than himself, when he lets his photo be taken and lands himself an enemy in the captain of the school football team before school has even begun, and he’d hardly even said anything yet! So much for keeping a low profile, will this simple mistake come back to haunt him?
TEEN RATING: Lore is bang on, on exactly how a fifteen year old would feel and react in Number Four’s shoes, making Number Four easily to relate to. 4/5 13+.
