Per Perrson is a resentful, young receptionist who works at one of the most grotty hotels in Sweden but when a sadistic, aggressive ex-convict correctly named, Hitman Anders, Per begins to feel like his luck might be turning around and when he meets an atheistic, female, priest, who tries to con him out of 20 kroner he gives her a place to stay, Per gets a great idea.
Then a man leaves five thousand kroner at the reception desk at the hotel for Hitman Anders when it was meant to be 10,000. The priest then offers the services of herself and Per to act as his go-betweens. This creates a new business opportunity for the priest and Per where they allow Anders to be hired out for mutilations and (if the price is high enough) murder.
This book is great. I haven’t read any of his earlier works but now I would love to. This book was funny and light hearted. It was great to move from all the thrillers that I have been reading recently. This book is perfect for this time of year and is guaranteed to make you cry out with laughter.
Teen Rating: A truly hilarious book that makes you cry out with laughter 4/5 14+
