Darren, truth be told has not had a great year. His parents got divorced, his Mum is now a workaholic business mogul, his brother and only friend has gone to college and Darren’s Dad has now declared that he is gay. All these issues leave Darren with some pretty conflicted emotions. Thus the journey for Darren to find himself begins. With him firstly running off to his brother, which creates a lot of life changing opportunities for Darren. He just has to decide which one opportunity to take first.
This book is different and fair play to Todd Hasack-Lowy for daring to be so adventurous. This may come as a shock but this book is told entirely in lists. Meaning that everything seems so different and exciting that you can not get enough of it. I liked this book, I really did, but it just gave me very high hopes that it could not deliver on. Anyway this book is still a good read and is perfect for fans of Wonder by R.J Palacio
Teen Rating: A book that is pretty good yet has a couple of faults that are quite noticeable. 3/5 14+
